The Project

Brisbane's Olympic Games weren't just about the event, they were an opportunity to reshape the city's future. ARUP envisioned how 2032 could catalyze long-term transformation in infrastructure, social equity, and environmental sustainability. They needed a film that moved beyond sporting spectacle to communicate legacy.

We partnered with Journey (strategy and writing) to translate ARUP's vision into motion. Our role was to create a visual language that could hold complex urban planning ideas while remaining clear and engaging.

The Visual Strategy

We adopted a clean, isometric style inspired by instruction manuals—the kind of diagrams that make complex systems feel understandable. The film moves through browser windows, architectural wireframes, and layered transitions, mapping out future transport, stadiums, and public spaces with both structure and optimism.

Three core themes anchored the work: connectivity (how people move through the city), social equity (who benefits from the Games), and environmental transformation (long-term climate impact). Each theme unfolded visually without feeling didactic.

Execution

The motion sequencing required clean, scalable assets. We built everything modularly so key sequences could be adapted across different formats and presentations. The result was a cohesive film that positioned Brisbane 2032 as a turning point rather than a temporary event.
